Job Summary

As a Patient Advocate Representative at Blithequark, you'll play a critical role in ensuring patient satisfaction and accurate processing of reorders. You'll work closely with patients, physicians, and referral sources to resolve issues, provide education on insurance coverage, and deliver exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain and process authorizations for reorders, ensuring timely and accurate shipping of patient supplies.
  • Resolve patient issues and concerns via phone, document processing, and medical record validation, providing solutions and alternatives as needed.
  • Verify patient medical documentation to ensure accurate billing of services and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maximize patient base through retention efforts and cross-selling via phone, identifying opportunities to add services and improve patient outcomes.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls from patients' physicians and referral sources, providing education on insurance coverage, troubleshooting concerns, and ensuring patient satisfaction.
  • Audit configuration of supplies based on supporting documentation, formulary requirements, and manufacturer capabilities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of medical documentation, insurance requirements, and company procedures, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate regular, predictable, and consistent attendance, with flexibility to meet the needs of the department.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Customer service experience preferred, with a strong ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Proficient computer literacy, with strong keyboarding skills and ability to accurately key data while maintaining strong listening skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, communication, and organizational skills essential for success in this role.
  • Exceptional phone and email etiquette, with ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Evening and weekend availability may be required, with flexibility to work varied shifts as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a call center or customer service environment, with a strong understanding of patient advocacy and support.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Certification in customer service or patient advocacy, such as HCAHPS or CAHPS.
