Job Overview

In this critical role, you will be responsible for modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience, ensuring that every customer interaction is courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient. You will be the face of blithequark, providing exceptional service to our customers, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience. As a key member of our team, you will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and well-merchandised store environment, processing sales transactions, and implementing asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
  • Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
  • Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items
  • Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash and distribute change as requested, and process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
  • Maintain a clean and well-merchandised store environment, including counters, shelves, and displays
  • Implement asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours. You must also be able to provide exceptional customer service, work effectively in a team environment, and maintain a positive and respectful attitude in all interactions with customers and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Prior work experience with blithequark
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

To excel in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner. You must also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
