Job Overview

The Senior Director, Customer Growth Business Development role is a newly created position that will provide strategic leadership within our Business Development Center of Excellence. This team is responsible for securing new business, driving new category growth, and successfully managing our continued pipeline of renewals. As a key member of this team, you will serve as the strategic bridge between blithequark and our potential and existing customers, representing the voice of the customer and identifying opportunities to drive growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all growth and customer marketing-related activities for the new Business Development COE, developing and executing strategies to drive customer acquisition and retention
  • Build strategic relationships with C-Suite marketing executives at top customers, identifying opportunities to drive growth and innovation
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to secure support for Business Development project needs, including insights, digital, brand, assets, commercial, and more
  • Develop customer stewardship materials to provide improved support for customer growth initiatives, including the creation of compelling content and effective commercial tools
  • Provide customer insights to brand, integrated marketing, innovation, and strategy teams, identifying opportunities to drive growth and innovation
  • Identify key trends and gaps within our value bundle, connecting with internal subject matter experts to develop solutions and commercialize best practices
  • Create a communication plan for internal senior leaders, stewarding customer growth marketing strategies and gaining alignment through various tools and channels
  • Build impactful relationships through industry engagements, representing blithequark and driving growth and innovation

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in marketing, agency, or CPG experience, preferably with experience working with foodservice customers. You will need to have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, as well as a minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, agency, or equivalent years of CPG experience.

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Customer Marketing or Shopper Marketing experience, ideally within FSOP
  • Demonstrated ability to develop unique and compelling beverage partnership strategies, preferably with Code 10 customers
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to lead through complex, long-term projects
  • Comfortable leading through ambiguity, with a solution-oriented approach and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a strong ability to plan and organize
  • Capable of leading through change, with a strong ability to adapt to new situations and challenges
  • Fast and agile learner, with a strong ability to absorb and apply new information and skills

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $175,000 - $201,000, as well as a range of perks and benefits, including:
