Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for answering inbound customer service calls related to patient accounting questions and concerns. Your primary goal will be to provide timely and effective resolutions to our customers, ensuring that their issues are addressed in a professional and service-oriented manner. When inbound call volumes are low, you may also make outbound follow-up calls on outstanding accounts to ensure that our customers receive the support they need.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound customer service calls and make outbound follow-up calls in a professional and service-oriented manner, ensuring that all calls are answered timely without drops or abandons.
- Ascertain the reason for the call and assist the caller with their questions, concerns, or problems, focusing on first-call resolution and facilitating resolution by referring the matter to the issue/content expert.
- Escalate matters to a supervisor, request the appropriate information, or take appropriate action to ensure that the issue expert can effectively resolve the matter.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced call center environment.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess exceptional customer service skills, including effective and efficient problem-solving and analyzing skills. You should have a professional and calming tone of voice, with complete command of the English language and the ability to facilitate conversations with others. A high school education or equivalent is required, and 1-2 years of prior experience in an inbound call center and/or customer service environment is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hospital patient account billing experience or knowledge of 3rd party reimbursements from insurance companies and government payers is a plus.
- Ability to interpret and apply reimbursement aspects of managed healthcare contracts.
- Attentive listening skills and the ability to clearly articulate a response to the customer using appropriate voice modulation.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a hourly rate of $15.80 - $23.70, depending on location, qualifications, and experience.
