About the Role: North Carolina State Manager
As a North Carolina State Manager at Schilling Cider, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and managing our operations in the state. This is a hybrid position that combines remote work with time spent in our office, allowing you to balance flexibility with collaboration and teamwork. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key retailers, traveling out of state for work, selling in and conducting training programs, and contributing to marketing campaigns. You will be the face of Schilling Cider in North Carolina, and your passion for cider and sales expertise will be essential in driving our business forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key retailers and distributors in North Carolina
- Traveling out of state for work multiple times a year to attend industry events, conferences, and sales meetings
- Selling in and conducting training programs with retailers, restaurateurs, and consumers to promote Schilling Cider products
- Developing and executing the business plan to grow your territory and achieve annual market goals
- Learning and staying up-to-date on the local craft cider scene in North Carolina and nationally to identify trends and opportunities
- Contributing and assisting with marketing campaigns to promote Schilling Cider products and events
- Working closely with sales managers to build and execute weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans to achieve annual market goals
- Spending at least 80% of your time in the trade working with accounts, with the remaining 20% spent on administrative tasks and team collaboration
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong and diverse skillset in sales, marketing, and business development. The ideal candidate will have:
- 2-3 years of experience in alcoholic beverage sales, with a focus on craft cider or a related industry
- 1-2 years of experience in wholesale management, with a proven track record of success in managing distributor relationships and driving business growth
- A strong understanding of the craft cider industry, including trends, competitors, and market dynamics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with retailers, distributors, and consumers
- A self-driven and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to travel frequently for work
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for travel
- Must be 21+ years of age and fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with a booster shot completed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on sales and business development
- A strong network of contacts in the craft cider industry, including retailers, distributors, and other industry professionals
- Knowledge of sales and marketing software, including CRM systems and data analysis tools
- A certification in sales or a related field, such as a Cicerone or Certified Beer Server designation

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:
We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
- Starting salary: $78,000 - $87,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
