Job Overview

This Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role that requires a strong foundation in bookkeeping principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and clients simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently in a remote setting, with designated quiet and distraction-free office space. The role involves working standard hours, either 8:00 am - 5:00 pm or 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, depending on your time zone, with occasional requirements for evening or weekend work to meet deadlines or address client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing bank account and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Conducting bookkeeping reviews for 10-20 clients, identifying and correcting errors, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Paying and tracking bills and loans, collecting and tracking invoices, and filing 1099(s) as required.
  • Calculating and collecting sales tax, and handling payroll filing and reporting for clients.
  • Maintaining detailed spreadsheets of financial transactions, submitting daily reports to your supervisor, and tracking time spent on client work.
  • Utilizing internal software to record client work completed and ensuring strict confidentiality of client and company information.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalency diploma as a minimum educational requirement.
  • 1-3 years of experience in using QuickBooks Online, with a strong understanding of its features and applications.
  • 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping for multiple small companies simultaneously, demonstrating your ability to manage diverse client needs.
