Job Overview
As a Senior Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our customers via inbound Call Center Operations. You will serve as a mentor to new call center agents, support the improvement of your peers, and ensure that every customer interaction meets the highest standards of quality and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and respond to inbound phone calls for customer assistance, ensuring prompt and professional service.
- Respond to outbound phone call requests, following up on customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Document all calls in ticketing and tracking systems, maintaining accurate and detailed records of customer interactions.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide data to customers within required time frames, ensuring that our customers receive the information they need to make informed decisions.
- Function as a liaison between the claims department and providers, facilitating communication and resolving issues efficiently.
- Research customer claims in primary payor systems, utilizing your knowledge of healthcare and Medicare to provide accurate and helpful information.
- Ensure the highest level of customer service on every call, consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations and promoting a positive experience.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a deep understanding of covered plan benefits, as well as knowledge of physician practice and hospital coding, billing, and medical terminology. You should be comfortable taking escalated calls and issues, utilizing your experience and expertise to resolve complex problems. Additionally, you will need to have a basic understanding of MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
Essential Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a Healthcare Call Center operations, including Medicare/Medicare Advantage.
- High school degree required, with a preference for candidates who have completed a degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration or a similar discipline.
- Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service, with a strong focus on patient satisfaction and support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Customer Service software, with the ability to list specific examples of software used in previous roles.
- Healthcare Call center experience: 2 years (Required), with a preference for candidates who have worked in a similar role for 3+ years.
- Availability to work Day Shift (Preferred) and Night Shift (Preferred), with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
