About the Role: Ranking Director, Site Marketing
We're seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Leader to join our team as a Ranking Director, Site Marketing. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for developing and executing a business-specific e-commerce experience strategy across our digital channels, including Target.com and our store fulfillment capabilities. Your expertise will help us create a cohesive, engaging online shopping experience that complements our beloved in-store experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop robust digital strategies for your assigned category and lead your team to execute against those strategies, in close collaboration with Marketing, Advertising, Creative, Product/Technology, and Operations partners.
- Category Strategy: Partner with merchant leaders to develop and prioritize experiences and initiatives that drive category objectives.
- Center Site Marketing: Implement and optimize site marketing strategies that focus on conversion, findability, maximizing guest engagement, and frictionless shopping.
- Content Strategy: Oversee and drive the development of short- and long-term content strategies, collaborating with leaders across the organization to ensure alignment of overall channel strategies.
- Data-Driven Insights: Monitor, understand, and utilize data and key metrics from various sources to enhance short-term performance and inform long-term strategies.
- Financial Outcomes: Deliver financial objectives (sales and profit) and targets for your assigned category.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of direct reports, providing development, coaching, motivation, support, and feedback. Foster a culture of collaboration, agility, and drive.
- Cross-Functional Partnerships: Build strong functional and cross-channel relationships across Target, influencing and leveraging various teams to advance digital objectives.
Essential Qualifications:
- Long-term professional education or comparable experience
- 8+ years of e-commerce experience
- Deep business acumen with a pioneering, revenue-generating mindset
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent understanding of mass marketing, retail, e-commerce, and multi-channel retailing
- Proven expertise in strategic and cross-functional influence, planning, and execution
- High degree of drive and association, with the ability to manage ambiguity, risk, and uncertainty
- Demonstrated experience in team management, with a personal interest in development
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including financial and business metrics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to varying levels of leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a digital marketing leadership role
- Knowledge of Target's business and retail industry
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and digital marketing tools
