Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Manager to supervise and coordinate the daily activities of inside sales/customer service associates engaged in promoting and selling products by phone or in person. As a Customer Service Manager at blithequark, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and leading a team of customer service professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trains, directs, and manages Inside Sales/Customer Service Associate personnel to ensure they meet sales goals and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Recommends changes to current inside sales techniques or procedures based on team performance and new selling techniques to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Handles complaints or situations that may arise involving pricing, delivery/shipping errors, returns, etc. and resolves these issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Places calls to and answers calls from existing and potential customers to solicit business and to follow up on customers' needs.
  • Establishes relationships with customers by assisting them at the counter or over the phone, understanding their needs, and learning their buying habits and expectations.
  • Processes customer orders quickly and efficiently, and increases sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales, and offering promotional sale items.
  • Proactively recommends items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.
  • Recommends alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications, and communicates pricing, product updates, deliveries, credit, and payment issues in accordance with standard procedures and customers' profitability profiles.
  • Educates customers about terminology, features, and benefits of products to improve product-related sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiently uses technologies, including distribution and office software such as Prelude.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; or at least two years of inside sales associate experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of effective selling techniques.
  • Demonstrated success meeting sales goals and growing sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle difficult customers and situations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of product information.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in a timely manner.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software and other sales tools.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is between $30-$33 per hour, based on a full-time schedule. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this position may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commissions plans, as well as relocation or cost of living adjustments.
