About the Role
A job with blithequark's Packaging team is a valuable opportunity to contribute to the development of packaging for blithequark's beloved owned brands, exclusive partnerships, and travel packaging. Your impact will drive sales and grow brand love through packaging that is guest-driven, on-brand, competitive "at rack," and category-relevant. Here, you'll leverage internal and external partnerships, collaborate on research and analysis to support packaging optimization, establish best practices for scale, and back sustainability drives.
Key Responsibilities
- Build foundational data requirements, taxonomy structures, and specification rationales to support packaging design optimization and sustainability efforts across all Owned Brand organizations.
- Consult with relevant procurement, design, store operations, marketing, supply chain, properties, and compliance program owners in establishing relevant data requirements and flexible guidelines that consistently reflect our commitment to safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
- Create and manage change processes to ensure accurate packaging document management portfolios across multiple systems and partner teams.
- Develop, manage, and execute training and communications on assets, for internal and external audiences, to drive comprehensive understanding of standards, specifications, and data accuracy best practices.
- Assess data requirements, standards, and specifications to advance safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that align with industry standards, enhance quality engineering practices, are consistent with risk tolerance expectations, and maintain a leadership position in the industry.
- Provide support and guidance to cross-functional teams and colleagues to ensure proper interpretation and enforcement of packaging data requirements, standards, and specifications.
- Consult with appropriate internal regulatory and compliance experts, identifying impacts on current data requirements and standards, taking action to mitigate risks, and identifying opportunities for breakthroughs for compliance.
- Work with cross-functional global partners to drive effective communication and roadshows around stated goal advancement, compliance, and data accuracy best practice requirements and expectations.
- Utilize data to identify trends or issues, in partnership with technology teams, to measure the effectiveness of training delivered and communications sent.
- Research industry trends and assess blithequark's corresponding data and standards practices, sharing insights and recommendations with the appropriate audience for change and compliance.
- Provide leadership and guidance to others, driving effectiveness and efficiency in team results.
- Foster a positive team culture by demonstrating behaviors consistent with blithequark's values of Inclusivity, Collaboration, and Drive; ensure ongoing, effective communications to the team, and support individualized development by offering regular performance feedback, coaching, recognition, and evaluation.
Essential Qualifications
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience creating and managing documentation and guidelines projects, ideally including packaging design and development.
- Ability to influence without authority, manage projects, work with groups, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport, and collaborate effectively, internally and externally, across all levels of an organization.
- Experience with documentation best practices, technical writing, and reporting.
- Skilled at creating and advising on content, structure, and delivery of effective training platforms, roadshows, and communications.
- Experience leading teams or projects, driving collaboration, empowerment, and teamwork.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, creative thinking, and analytical skills.
- Related knowledge with packaging or consumer products manufacturing preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Adaptability and resilience; comfortable working in uncertain and constantly changing environments.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work, communicate, and lead in a highly collaborative environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Visio applications.
