About the Role

As a Remote Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be the frontline ambassador for our brand, handling a high volume of customer calls with poise and professionalism. Your mission will be to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide support in a timely and effective manner. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming customer calls, processing orders and addressing a variety of customer requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Troubleshoot customer complaints and issues, determining the best course of action for resolution and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Accurately document customer interactions, tracking call types and maintaining detailed records.
  • Uphold high customer service standards, ensuring that support service levels are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Take ownership of follow-up interactions with customers to resolve inquiries regarding order status, shipping, and stock availability.
  • Manage inbound phone calls for up to 90% of your assigned shift, demonstrating excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, showcasing flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing needs.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • To reside within a 2-hour radius of Port Washington, NY.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume call center environment.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven listening and comprehension skills, with the ability to understand and address customer needs effectively.
  • A team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to remain composed under pressure, handling difficult customer situations with professionalism.
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel).
  • A strong command of English, with good grammar and comprehension skills.
  • The ability to connect via a hardwired/ethernet connection (no hotspots or WiFi).

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:

  • A background in the medical field (medical billing, claims experience, or in-office experience) or insurance experience.
  • SAP experience.
  • Previous experience in the optical industry.
  • Bilingual skills, particularly in French, are highly valued.
