Channel Manager - YouTube (Remote)
Description
• Own the end-to-end strategy, growth, and daily management of the Forbes Advisor YouTube channel, transforming it into the go-to destination for trustworthy personal-finance and business guidance.
• Develop and execute a data-driven content calendar that balances evergreen “how-to” explainers, timely market commentary, and high-impact series that demystify credit cards, mortgages, insurance, investing, and small-business finance.
• Partner with our award-winning editorial, SEO, and design teams to repurpose top-performing articles into engaging video scripts, storyboards, and thumbnails that maximize click-through rate and watch time while preserving Forbes’ authoritative voice.
• Lead on-camera and off-camera production workflows: brief hosts, coordinate shoots, manage freelance videographers and editors, and ensure every upload meets brand, legal, and accessibility standards on time and on budget.
• Deep-dive into YouTube Analytics, Google Trends, and social listening tools to surface audience insights, A/B-test titles and thumbnails, and iterate quickly—turning raw data into 10%+ month-over-month subscriber and view growth.
• Spearhead revenue-driving initiatives: integrate affiliate links, negotiate sponsored integrations, and collaborate with the sales team to package custom video solutions that delight brand partners and exceed CPM targets.
• Cultivate a vibrant community by responding to comments within 24 hours, hosting quarterly live streams, and launching viewer Q&A segments that reinforce Forbes Advisor’s reputation for clarity and trust.
• Champion cross-channel promotion—repurposing shorts for TikTok and Instagram Reels, embedding videos into high-traffic articles, and coordinating email drops—to create a cohesive ecosystem that lifts overall brand engagement.
• Stay ahead of platform changes (algorithm updates, Shorts monetization, AI tools) and serve as the internal evangelist, translating complex updates into actionable best-practice guides for stakeholders across marketing and editorial.
• Present monthly performance decks to senior leadership, translating KPIs (subscribers, RPM, retention curves) into clear narratives that secure continued investment and influence company-wide video strategy.
• Foster an inclusive, remote-first culture by running efficient stand-ups, mentoring junior creators, and documenting SOPs that allow the channel to scale seamlessly as Forbes Advisor expands into new verticals and languages.
