Job Summary and Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have an active research agenda and teaching experience at the intersections of emerging cyber technologies and threats, global governance and security, and international law. The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in cyber security and governance, international law, and global governance
- Conducting research and publishing scholarly articles in top-tier journals and books
- Mentoring and advising students, including undergraduate and graduate thesis advisees
- Participating in departmental and school-wide service, including committee work and curriculum development
- Collaborating with colleagues across the university to develop interdisciplinary research and teaching initiatives
- Contributing to the school's diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, including developing and implementing strategies to promote diversity and inclusion in the curriculum and academic programs
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
- A PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline in the social sciences, humanities, or law
- A strong record of research, publication, teaching, and professional service (appropriate to their rank)
- Expertise in cyber security and governance, international law, and global governance
- Excellent teaching and communication skills, with the ability to teach and mentor students from diverse backgrounds
- A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a demonstrated ability to promote diversity and inclusion in the curriculum and academic programs
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have:
- A strong record of securing external funding for research and teaching initiatives
