Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive K-12 fine arts curriculum that aligns with state and national standards
- Provide guidance, support, and expertise to fine arts teachers, administrators, and students across our K-12 schools
- Coordinate district-wide fine arts activities, including concerts, exhibitions, and performances
- Provide professional development opportunities for fine arts teachers, including workshops, training sessions, and coaching
- Represent our fine arts programs in the community and state, including attending conferences, meetings, and events
- Develop and manage budgets for fine arts programs, including purchasing equipment, materials, and supplies
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and community partners to develop and implement fine arts programs that promote artistic excellence and cultural diversity
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fine arts programs, including assessing student learning outcomes and program impact
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Master's Degree in Fine Arts Education or a related field, as well as prior classroom instruction experience in both secondary and elementary levels. You will also need to hold active Michigan Teacher Certification and Michigan Administrator Certification. Additionally, you should have membership in and leadership experience in professional arts groups, as well as evidence of professional development as required by the State of Michigan.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000-$82,010 per year, as well as an additional signing bonus of $1,500, payable upon commencement of employment.
