Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls for healthcare member and provider inquiries, providing timely and effective solutions to their concerns
  • Answer healthcare member and provider inquiries, and type information into the computer system simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintain web camera visibility during working hours, ensuring a professional and engaging presence
  • Utilize your problem-solving skills to resolve customer complaints and concerns, escalating issues as necessary
  • Follow established procedures to meet customer needs, ensuring that all interactions are handled with empathy and professionalism

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years of customer service experience preferred, with a focus on healthcare or a related field
  • Call center experience, with health insurance experience being highly desirable
  • Minimum typing speed of 30-35 words per minute, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of personal computers, with strong reading comprehension and writing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a substantial understanding of the job and its requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a remote or home-based customer service role
  • Familiarity with healthcare terminology and concepts
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software or similar technology
