The Trust and Safety team collaborates with various stakeholders, including Product Management, Engineering, and Policy Development, to identify and mitigate emerging threats. As the Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse and Analytics, you will be responsible for leading the Adversarial Abuse team, which focuses on detecting and removing malicious actors, and the Business Analytics team, which provides insights and transparency reports to stakeholders worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Adversarial Abuse team in identifying and mitigating threats from malicious actors, including account takeovers, spam, and other forms of abuse.
- Collaborate with the Business Analytics team to develop insights and reports on abuse trends, providing data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
- Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to develop and implement effective solutions to prevent abuse and improve the overall user experience.
- Develop and implement policies and strategies to address emerging threats, leveraging account, social, and content signals to identify harmful behavior.
- Drive operational excellence, ensuring that the team is working efficiently and effectively to meet its goals.
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team, encouraging the development of new ideas and approaches to addressing abuse.
- Engage with cross-functional partners to launch new products and policies that prevent adversarial abuse.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics).
- At least 4 years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in risk management, fraud fighting, and data analysis.
- 2 years of experience working with engineering teams to develop data infrastructure and ML models.
- 2 years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and drive business decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate education in a related field (e.g., Analytics, Engineering, or Data Science).
- 2 years of experience in analyzing large datasets and detecting anomalies.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse activities.
- Proficiency in SQL, R, or Matlab.
- Exceptional influencing and leadership skills, with the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners.
- Strong business judgment, strategic thinking, and analytical skills, with the ability to drive business decisions using data insights.
