Account Manager (Logistics/Freight Forwarding) / Customer Service Representative
The Account Manager – Logistics is responsible for managing end-to-end customer service and operational coordination for a portfolio of clients. This role works independently to support Operations by collaborating with clients, Horizon global agents, and internal staff to ensure seamless global shipments. The Account Manager will escalate issues to the EVP only when dealing with highly complex matters.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of customer service for an assigned portfolio of accounts.
• Coordinate shipments by selecting carriers and determining routing for domestic and international freight.
• Calculate volume, weight, and dimensions using both metric and imperial measurement systems.
• Prepare quotations and calculate shipping costs.
• Create billing documentation for approval and handle client billing inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with client SOPs and maintain accurate account records.
• Provide 24/7 customer service support via phone and email for time-sensitive shipments.
• Support and participate in special projects as assigned.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve operational or service issues promptly.
Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain role.
• Strong knowledge of shipping regulations and compliance.
• Experience handling dangerous goods shipments is a plus.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in business, transportation, or related field preferred.
• Industry certifications (IATA, IMDG, etc.) are an advantage.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
