Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Master Data Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing customer data, ensuring that all information is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with divisional policies. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing all internal inbound requests for new accounts and performing updates to existing accounts in accordance with divisional policies.
- Learning to use new tools and implementing more streamlined ways to accomplish tasks, contributing to process improvements and efficiency.
- Developing a strong knowledge of basic branch functions, order entry, and how Customer Master Data (CMD) affects all teams, ensuring a holistic understanding of our operations.
- Processing inbound requests for new pricing and pricing updates to existing accounts, utilizing the SAP and PROs systems, and ensuring that all pricing information is accurate and current.
- Working with Sr. CMD Specialists on branch closures, openings, mergers, and other projects that require meticulous data management and analysis.
- Communicating effectively via email when explaining issues on an account and how to fix them, providing excellent customer service and support to internal stakeholders.
- Taking on other projects or duties as assigned, demonstrating your versatility and ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
- Required Education: High School Diploma/GED required, with a preference for candidates who have completed higher education in a related field.
- Required Length & Type of Experience: Previous SAP experience is preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of prior experience in an office environment with customer-facing activities, internal or external.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong computer skills, with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite, as well as a demonstrated ability to utilize financial applications within SAP. You should also have attention to detail, the ability to manipulate and analyze large amounts of data, and excellent communication skills.
Preferred qualifications include experience in data management, customer service, or a related field, with a strong understanding of SAP and other data management systems. Certification in SAP or a related field is also desirable.
