About the Role: Technician Specialist

As a Technician Specialist, you will be the frontline representative for our hospice partners, handling a high volume of inbound calls with professionalism and efficiency. Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, you will perform advanced administrative, operational, and customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the highest quality of service to our patients and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to a high volume of inbound calls in a timely and professional manner, following standard operating procedures.
  • Assist customers in inputting patient data and prescription information into our pharmacy information management system.
  • Accurately establish and maintain patient medication profiles for review by a Pharmacist.
  • Provide superior customer service, treating callers with respect and dignity.
  • Utilize current technology systems to perform tasks such as entering and updating patient demographics, processing refills and discontinuations, and documenting as needed.
  • Identify and solve problems related to customer service issues and communicate effectively to appropriate personnel.
  • Practice active listening to ensure customer needs are met prior to completing calls.
  • Effectively de-escalate calls received from customers reporting service-related complaints.
  • Escalate issues, concerns, or observations that may impact customer relationships to Patient Care Operations leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

We require:

  • A minimum of two years of recent pharmacy technician experience.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB, CPhT).
  • A TN Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Strong typing skills with a minimum of 20 wpm.
  • General working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer Service experience.
  • Call Center experience.

Schedule and Location:

This is a full-time, remote position requiring a schedule of 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM Central, Monday through Friday, and a rotation every 4th weekend. You must be a TN resident to work remotely or live within the Memphis, Tennessee commuting area if you're an out-of-state resident.
