Job Summary
As a Retail Sales Associate - Customer Experience Expert, you'll be a key member of our sales team, driving sales growth, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You'll develop a deep understanding of our products, services, and loyalty programs, using this expertise to help customers find what they need and suggest additional items. Your positive, welcoming presence will be felt throughout the store, from the sales floor to the fitting rooms, and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Master store products, services, loyalty programs, and Macy's sales systems to provide personalized support to customers, helping them find what they need and suggesting additional items.
- Sales Support: Develop customer relationships to grow business and expand our client base, responding to customer requests for additional merchandise or assistance.
- Merchandise Organization: Maintain department recovery standards, including selling floor and fitting rooms, ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
- Update Pricing and Signage: Deliver optimal merchandise execution presentation, ensuring accurate merchandise pricing and processing markdowns in a timely and accurate manner.
- Digital Customer Orders: Assist in locating and pulling merchandise to fulfill digital customer orders, driving sales growth across channels.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Flexible Availability: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Customer-Focused: Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Resourceful and Adaptable: Ability to work on your own and as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities and handling electronic devices with ease.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Retail Experience: Experience in a retail environment, preferably in a sales or customer service role.
- Product Knowledge: Familiarity with fashion, beauty, or home goods products, with a keen eye for style and trends.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often for the entire workday.
- Manual Dexterity: Ability to reach with hands and arms, use hands to press, handle, and feel objects.
- Lifting and Moving: Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., climb ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Vision Requirements: Close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
