About the Role

As a Virtual Support Needs Educator with Fullmind, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality virtual academic instruction to students with mild to moderate support needs and extensive support needs. This 1099 Independent Contractor position offers a competitive daily rate of $295 and the flexibility of working remotely. You'll be working on a fully remote platform, collaborating with in-class facilitators, and contributing to the success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach the curriculum on the district's virtual platform, ensuring engaging and effective instruction for students.
• Attend district professional development faculty meetings to stay updated on best practices and network with peers.
• Record student progress, providing valuable insights for future instruction and collaboration with in-class facilitators.
• Partner with in-class facilitators who are physically present with students to ensure a cohesive learning experience.
• Create lesson plans that are aligned with the class curriculum, promoting creativity and excitement in the virtual learning environment.
• Develop strategies to engage and nurture student learning, fostering positive student relationships.
• Keep track of student grades and performance, using data to inform instruction and drive student success.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• An active, USA state-issued teaching certification in Mild to Moderate Support Needs/Extensive Support Needs for California.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• A reliable laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and stable internet access.
• Willingness to participate in a Virtual Skills Teaching Demonstration as part of the application process.
• Ability to submit a background check, including LiveScan Fingerprinting, which requires living near a LiveScan location or being willing to drive to one.

Prior online teaching experience is highly valued and considered a plus.
