Key Responsibilities:

As a Mammography Technologist - Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist I/II, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and performing mammographic specialized procedures for the diagnosis of breast conditions
  • Explaining procedures to patients and answering questions
  • Positioning patients for exams and determining equipment requirements
  • Assisting physicians or nurses during procedures
  • Maintaining patient records and ensuring accurate documentation
  • Participating in quality improvement activities to ensure high-quality patient care

Requirements and Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist and Mammographic Radiologic Technologist with the State of California, Department of Public Health
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and possession of a California State Mammography certificate or ARRT (M) credential
  • Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Ability to obtain certification in Fluoroscopy with the State of California, Department of Public Health within six months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably in a mammography setting
  • Knowledge of breast imaging and diagnostic procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
