You will work closely with our team to ensure the smooth operation of our media systems, including playout innovation, studios, creation control rooms, remote creation, after creation, commitment/delivery frameworks, networking, cloud processing, creation programming, and virtual environments. You will also be responsible for investigating and resolving complex technical issues, managing external vendors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide high-level technical support and data entry services to our global audience * Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to media systems, including playout innovation, studios, creation control rooms, remote creation, after creation, commitment/delivery frameworks, networking, cloud processing, creation programming, and virtual environments * Manage external vendors and ensure they meet the agreed-upon scope of services within the various contracted support arrangements * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results and meet business, marketing, and entertainment objectives * Develop and implement long-term plans for future media innovation needs, including capital upgrades, to improve creation and delivery capabilities * Perform and arrange preventive maintenance on all communicated systems and equipment, including distribution systems, switchers, consoles, playout servers, cameras, advanced mechanics, electromechanical equipment, automation systems, and radio offices to ensure optimal transmission performance * Participate in complex design activities under the guidance of more experienced architects * Audit, maintain, and contribute to framework/work process documentation * Participate in training and development targets, conduct peer training and development meetings, and perform other duties as required to achieve business objectives **Essential Qualifications** * 3+ years of past and applicable experience in ensuring proficient sustainment, uptime, and overall security of the technical conditions of live media creation and distribution conditions * Four-year degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related major, or potentially equivalent work experience * Demonstrated experience in investigating and supporting at least one of the following: + IP-based broadcast equipment, including switches, switchers, audio consoles, signal processors, encoder/decoder, video scalers, playback systems, etc. + Studio technology, including video walls, cameras, VR set technology, image processing systems, touch screens, lighting, etc. + Record-based work processes, such as Media Resource Management frameworks (Cloud-based Cloud Figure or Local Organization-based) including storage, register, encode, and distribution + Creation control frameworks, such as Envision Interchanges or Grass Valley automation frameworks, Eager, Adobe, Viz, Dalet, Riedel trunking, Lawo, Calrec, Evertz, Ross, and others + Transmission frameworks, such as RF (Radio Frequency), Satellite Distribution, Fiber Distribution, etc. + Demonstrated history for investigating and sustainment knowledge of AWS Foundations and other cloud-based advances, including S3/Icy mass storage and cloud register (EC2) services * Physical requirements and workplace: Ability to ascend ladders, work on raised platforms and building rooftops, work aerial lift stages, and have a valid driver's license * Ability to create, read, and decipher AutoCAD and other specialized drawing/documentation tools **Preferred Qualifications** * Knowledge and experience in on-prem and cloud-based storage and compute foundation stages and current mechanical contributions * Knowledge and experience with SMPTE principles for broadcast TV and video creation/real-time conditions * Knowledge and experience with compression methods, such as MPEG2/4, HEVC, JPEG 2000, and JPEG XS * Knowledge and experience with Evertz programming control frameworks, such as control through Vista Link or Magnum, EQX/EXE switches, and their monitoring software VLPRO, SDVN, celebrity, VUE, MVP * Knowledge and experience with Nielsen (NACAT), VANC hardware, Direct Acoustics, and other related frameworks * Ability to create, read, and decipher AutoCAD and other specialized drawing/documentation tools **Skills and Competencies** * Strong technical skills, including knowledge of media systems, networking, cloud processing, creation programming, and virtual environments * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision, prioritizing
