Job Summary

As a Part-Time Remote Customer Service Representative - Emergency Roadside Assistance, you will be responsible for responding to member requests for emergency road service in a call center environment. You will gather information, provide solutions, and communicate with contractors to ensure timely and effective service delivery. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and offers a competitive hourly rate of $19.00 with shift premium for evening periods and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to member/customer requests for emergency road service in a call center environment
  • Obtain information regarding type of service required and provide basic information regarding Emergency Road Service benefits
  • Perform geographical location spotting to determine potential service providers
  • Communicate with contractors to provide information regarding member location, vehicle, type of problem, etc. and obtain estimated time of arrival
  • Enter data into D2000 database and document all relevant details
  • Notify member of estimated time of arrival and name of contractor
  • Recognize, promote, and process membership sales opportunities
  • Verify completed status of call and close out on system

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 6 months of customer service experience in a professional setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills, including ability to operate and navigate a laptop or PC with multiple applications
  • Telephone etiquette and effective listening skills
  • Ability to accurately enter information on a personal computer and perform mathematical calculations

Preferred Qualifications

  • College level coursework in Business, Marketing, Geography, or other related field
  • Experience in a call center environment or remote work setting
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish and English)
  • Knowledge of road condition reporting terminology and North American geographical relationships
