Job Summary
As a PMO Task Director at Delta Airlines, you'll be responsible for leading high-value projects across the RES division, developing and implementing project management best practices, and driving business-critical initiatives. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior leaders to ensure successful project delivery, effective communication, and alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the project management of high-value initiatives across the RES division, including coordinating tasks from project inception to planning, execution, and closure.
- Develop and maintain project artifacts, including project contracts, project plans, risk and issue logs, and project dashboards.
- Manage multiple simultaneous projects of varying priority and complexity, across different teams or stakeholders.
- Drive the development of the association's culture at the functional level, ensuring strong alignment with partners across the broader enterprise.
- Foster communication strategies and implement processes, activities, and projects that result in timely dissemination of information and communication consistency.
- Support the development of business cases, prioritization, and overall divisional portfolio management.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships and feedback loops between leaders, functional stakeholders, and cross-divisional Delta teams.
- Support the growth and development of the RES PMO capability and the establishment of a Center of Excellence for strategic portfolio management.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Phenomenal planning, organization, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability and a demonstrated history of success in managing and delivering multiple projects of varying sizes and complexity.
- Unrivaled communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across the organization and build and effectively manage relationships with stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Ability to lead and work independently and within a team.
- Proficiency in written and oral communications, with the ability to deliver concise documents for senior-level presentations.
- Must perform acceptably in their current role.
- Models Delta's Standards of the Street, guiding principles, and safety-conscious behaviors.
- Where allowed by relevant law, you have received or will receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based work, while potentially not already employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
- Consistently prioritizes the safety and security of self, others, and personal information.
- Embracing diverse individuals, thinking, and styles.
- Has a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years old and has authorization to work in the US.
