About the Role: Data Specialist - Information Analytics
As a Data Specialist - Information Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and operationalizing data pipelines that power our analytics and data services. This is a unique chance to work with diverse data sources, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive business growth through data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and operationalize data pipelines to make data accessible for utilization (BI, Advanced Analytics, Services).
- Collaborate with data modelers and data/BI architects to design data pipelines and suggest continuous improvement of data storage, ingestion, quality, and governance.
- Develop, test, and implement ETL/ELT processes using Informatica Cloud (IICS).
- Leverage Azure services such as Azure SQL DW, ADLS, Azure Event Hub, and Azure Data Factory to enhance and accelerate the delivery of our data products and services.
- Implement big data and NoSQL solutions by developing scalable data processing platforms to drive high-value insights for the organization.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes and enhancing data delivery.
- Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality of data management.
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences both written and verbal.
- Perform peer reviews for other data architects' work.
Essential Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- 2+ years of experience designing and operationalizing data pipelines with large and complex datasets.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica IICS.
- 2+ years of experience working with Cloud technologies such as ADLS, Azure Databricks, Spark, Azure Synapse, Cosmos DB, and other big data technologies.
- 2+ years of experience in Data Modeling, ETL, and Data Warehousing.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing data integration techniques like event/message-based integration (Kafka, Azure Event Hub), ETL.
- A strong understanding of database capacity concepts: Data Lake, Relational Databases, NoSQL, Graph, Data Warehousing.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced agile development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications can enhance your candidacy:
- Microsoft Azure or equivalent certifications.
- Experience delivering data solutions through agile software development methodologies.
- Familiarity with the retail industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with SAP integration tools including BODS.
- Experience with UC4 Job Scheduler.
