About the Job
As a Reliability Engineer Lead - Custom Silicon Management, you'll be part of our Silicon Developments team, where you'll help design and manufacture our future products. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to lead the development and qualification of new products with top-tier quality. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of reliability, quality, and performance. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and qualification of new products with top-tier quality, working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Drive the requirements and execution of product, process, and package reliability stress tests conditions and procedures from design stage to mass production qualification
- Develop and review Plan for Reliability and Plan for Test to ensure stress limit and testability
- Lead all aspects of and ensure good preparation for qualification, including corner analysis, margining, waveform, electrical characterization, thermal effect, and lifetime assessment
- Implement POR of process flows, workmanship standards, and direct product performance
- Perform FAI (First Article Inspection) to ensure critical parameters are assessed before design, pre-production, and production release for product manufacturing
- Drive assessment and disposition on qualification outcomes and product and process nonconformance of MRB, RMA events through method of FA, Vehicle, 8D, and reporting
- Support PCN or ECN activities
- Lead supplier audits when required
- Study/perform yield analysis and correlation analysis for all levels of test, including Pareto analysis, insights, etc.
- Drive/guide suppliers for improvement based on the situation
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in semiconductor planning, with a focus on reliability and quality/product planning
- Excellent social skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Experience with JEDEC reliability and quality-related standards, ISO, and the science behind them
- Knowledge of silicon product-level reliability capability and lifetime direct model
- Familiarity with reliability bomb strategies for silicon/packaging technologies and bomb systems concerning faithful quality
- Understanding of hardware arrangements and stuff permanently, normally, ESD, Attach, and various tests
- Experience with supplier audits, materials, and process assessments
- Ability to drive suppliers in the area of silicon Fab cycle/packaging/assembly, test, reliability monitoring, and post-production capability
- Familiarity with process flows, judgments, and managing supplier performance (process Cpk, yield, capability report, etc.)
- Knowledge of FAI to support the work suppliers are doing before production stage
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as a Master's or Ph.D.
- Additional experience in the semiconductor industry, with a focus on reliability and quality/product planning
- Experience with other reliability-related standards and methodologies
- Knowledge of other areas of the semiconductor industry, such as design, manufacturing, or testing
