About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Laboratory Associate II to join our team on a full-time basis, working remotely on the 3rd shift. As a Clinical Laboratory Associate II, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our Clinical Laboratory, working closely with our Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLSs) to ensure seamless patient testing and laboratory processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist CLSs in automated sample processing and other support functions, demonstrating expertise in laboratory procedures and instrumentation.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control activities to ensure laboratory operations run smoothly.
  • Create sample batches, print labels, and prepare reagents for sample processing and archiving, showcasing attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Order and stock laboratory supplies, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with laboratory regulations and standards.
  • Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from established performance specifications, and participate in internal audits and inspection preparation.
  • Collaborate with laboratory personnel to identify process improvement opportunities, implementing changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Develop and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) under the supervision of laboratory management, demonstrating expertise in laboratory procedures and regulations.
  • Provide backup support to other laboratory groups, including Reporting, Biospecimen Management, and Quality Control (QC), as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent in Biomedical Laboratory Science, Clinical Science, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in a high-complexity laboratory setting, preferably in a clinical laboratory or equivalent.
  • Strong computing skills, including proficiency in laboratory information systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Biomedical Laboratory Science, Clinical Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with Guardant Health's laboratory systems and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of reagent stability and storage, quality control policies, and factors that influence test results.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) and laboratory regulations.
